Anime Enthusiast

Hello all!

My name is Elly, and I’m a first-generation Haitian-American. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I pride myself on the following hobbies: crochet, cosplay, makeup, archery, anime, and video games.

I’ve been a huge fan of anime since I was a child growing up in the 90s and early 2000s. From Sailor Moon to Pokémon, from Yu-Gi-Oh! to Mew Mew Power, these anime have shaped my life to what it is currently.

My top five favorite anime consist of the following:

1. Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood
2. Detective Conan (Case Closed)
3. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds
4. Little Witch Academia
5. Bleach

At my day job, I work for a non-profit that supports developmentally disabled people in their daily lives. I assist them with self-advocacy tactics, societal integration, and vocational preparation. I have a Bachelors in Computer and Information Sciences and a Masters of Science in Education in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies. I hope to eventually advance further into the public health sector or into public policy.
